Fun Friday

The weather has been great here the last few days. We decided it would be a nice break to get out and go to the Gonzaga Baseball game. Neither of us are really into baseball but the games are really fun and they were playing BYU today. The boys had so much fun being with their daddy and were such good boys. And I do realize my boys hats are too small. I just wanted them to be as warm as they could :-) Me and Braxton enjoying the gameJustin and Taylor (he was having so much fun! Jumping up and down and didn't stop laughing!) Taylor enjoying a PICKLE! yuck! He LOVED it though!
More pickles...
Braxton dumped our bag of chips on the ground but he had fun with the bag.I get my own seat!
He didn't stay there very long!
After the 5th inning of the game we left to go to dinner at Red Lobster. It is in Coeur d'Alene so we had to leave the game to get there before the crowd. Didn't work though! We had to wait about an hour but the boys did pretty good. They were getting restless but by the time we got to the table, they were fine again. Taylor loved playing with menu and crayons (the crayons didn't last too long because they went straight to his mouth!) Braxton enjoyed eating his menu.
The waitress was awesome and brought them applesauce and they loved it. They also ate my cucumbers from my salad. The loved the flavor and sucked the juice from them. I guess it's a good thing my boys like veggies. They didn't get it from their mother. Here is the final picture of the table when we were done! 500 napkins later! Poor bus boy had a lot of work to do after we left! The food was great and Justin enjoyed the lobster as he always does. We also enjoyed his gift card that paid for our outing tonight. We had a great Friday!

Tagged- Me in a nut shell

So I was tagged by my sister-in-law and thought of some things I don't think many people know. Maybe you do. I am not that interesting!

1. I don't eat the ends of bananas. I think my mom always cut them off because she never liked them and it passed over to me. I can't even remember the last time I ate the end of a banana. Justin thinks it is weird and will only offer me the ends of banana when he is sharing :-)
2. I wear capris and flip flops all year round. I only wear them inside though. I don't want to be a complete idiot out in the cold!
3. I think having twins is "easy". They are so good and I love it! I would have another kid right now if Justin would agree to it! (not happenening though)
4. I really hope my boys love swimming becuase I LOVE the pool and beach! I would live there if I could!
5. I love motocross (not on tv, just in person). I love watching Chad and Justin race and beat all those other racers! Justin even taught me how to drive his motorcycle. Very trusting to let me on that thing.
6. I love Las Vegas. Not the gambling or smoke or the yucky people. But I LOVE the pools, warm weather, food, and the buildings are amazing. They are huge and it is just so amazing to me that people can create buildings like that.
7. I also love Disneyland. The commercial are killer for me because it makes me want to go back right now! I have been to Disneyland/World 6 or 7 times (most in the last 6 years) and I could go back three times a year and never get sick of it! It really is a magical place to me. I can't wait to take the boys! Justin on the other hand is a lot like his dad :-) Neither would care if the ever went back.
8. I hate spit. I worked in a dental office for 4 years and I HATE SPIT! It is so gross when people spit, hauck luggis (how ever that is spelled), and most of all the sound of it going into the suction in a dental office. You know how you get cotton stuck in your mouth when you are getting work done? taking that piece of cotton out when I am done, YUCK! It just makes me cringe. I don't mind my boys spit though :-) They slobber on me all the time and Taylor gives very slobbery kisses. But I love it.
9. One more. I have only cut my hair SHORT one time (except when I was little). My hair has always been long which Justin enjoys. I am thinking of cutting it again. Wait and see.... :-)
There is me in a very small nut shell! I don't know if any of these people have done this tag or not so if you have, think of new facts about yourself or don't do it. I tag EM, SAR, RACHEL, LESLIE, KAMBRIA, MANDY, TARYN, ASHLEY and CAMILLE. Have fun! Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

My boys

My crazy boys!
Getting ready to go out for the day.
Taylor thinks Braxton is so funny! He can always make him laugh.
I had just brought out a stack of diapers so I could change the boys and I turn around and this is what happens. I let them play though because they were grumpy and tired and I needed them happy so I could go visiting teaching.
Whatever keeps them happy :-)

Last few days...

Braxton loves to sit on his knees. So cute! He tries to climb up everything!

Including his brother!

Braxton was supposed to be taking a nap. I went in to check on them and here he was, sitting up and playing with his duck.

How do I do it?

I have had A LOT of comments wondering if I do anything during the day but my projects and how I get things done with twins. I think it is such a funny question. How does anyone do it? :-) Really, my life is easy. My boys are the greatest babies I have ever seen. They play together great, they play alone great, they play with us great! Taylor and Braxton are both the most laid back kids! Braxton is more needy then Taylor but it isn't so bad that I get nothing done all day! I love playing with my boys. We play cars, with the rings they have, with their stuffed animals and the boys love Baby Einstein. I will admit, when I want to get something done without them interrupting, I put one on. They are glued as soon as that little caterpillar comes across the screen. No worries mom. My house is clean! :-) I do all that in the morning after our workout and while the boys are napping. They both nap twice a day (usually) which gives me time to do what I want. I get most my work done after 8:00pm because that is when the boys go to bed. And I will say that my sweet husband helps clean the house each night after the boys go to bed and on the weekends when he is home. So, that's how it works in my life with twins.

Taylor's Fire Truck Quilt

I am so excited about this quilt. I have loved this fabric since one of my friends used it for her little boy. This one is Taylor's and now I will start working on Braxton's. It took me a while to get this one done so don't expect to see Braxton's any time soon. Hopefully I can get the pinwheels done fast. That is the long part! Putting the quilt together was lots more fun :-)

Taylor and Braxton

Taylor has learned to click his tongue. He loves to play with his tongue.

Braxton reading with daddy
Taylor has the biggest hands. They are big and chubby!Naked boy! After his bath, Brax didn't want to get dressed and took off before we could get a diaper on him. So of course I took pictures all the time hoping he wouldn't pee every where.Taylor found the wipes and had a pile of them before I knew what he was doing.I hate to admit it but this is my "craft" corner. It is such a mess and it's always the first place Braxton goes when he is free. He loves to get into everything!

A little of each of us...

We have always gone back and forth on who the boys look like. Actually, just Taylor. Braxton is all Justin. I always thought Taylor reminded me of Justin's side of the family until Leslie and I were looking through my baby book. Taylor is totally me! We found a bunch of pictures of me around his age now and he looks so much like me. The major difference in some of the pictures that threw us off were his big, bright blue eyes and my dark brown eyes. But as you can see in the pictures, each of them looks like one of us! As different as the boys are, they are so much alike! They will be 9 months old next week! It's gone by fast. I love listening to them laugh at each other. Taylor is laughing at Brax right now! I love it!

Big Boy PJ's

I was playing with the layout of this post so if it doesn't look good thats why. It's not me :-)
Yesterday we went shopping, again.
I only have the car two days a week so we make the most of it. We headed to the fabric store to pick up the last piece of fabric I needed to finish Braxton's quilt. You will get to see Tylor's soon! I am just putting the backing on it and then quilting it! It is SO CUTE! (p.s. Camille I am not a huge fan of pinwheels! They take forever!! But way cute) Then we went to Target where I ate a healthy lunch of popcorn and Dr. Pepper. Yum! :-) The boys got some shorts there for the summer. They have cheap clothes! I have never really looked at them because the boys are just now fitting into the bigger sizes. Next we went to Ross' where I got these cute Carter's PJA's for the boys! They make them look so big! That was the first thing Justin said. They are big boy PJ's! Then off to Old Navy and The Children's Place. I got them a shirt at Old Navy and then had to resist at The Children's Place. I love baby clothes.
This is a picture we took of Brax when he climed up the chair. He was peeking through waiting for Justin to see him. They really do love their daddy and can't wait to see him each night! And we LOVE weekends!

Too Smart

Coming through
Almost there
I'm out!!
I tried to block Braxton in the living room with his toy and a chair. I went to finish dinner and came back to find the little guy climbing through the toy and out of the blockade. My kid is way too smart! :-) I ended up just putting him back in the toy which he hated. He wants to be out and about which is fine but I have too many wires! Guess I need to baby proof better.

300 posts!

What a better way to celebrate my 300th post then to show you my cute little brother. He sent these pictures on his e-mail today. He is serving an LDS mission in Ukraine! He is doing awesome and we love hearing from him! Keep up the great work Elder Merrill! :-)

Yesterday

After we got home from the gym, I blocked off the computer so Brax couldn't get to the cords. I went and showered and when I got out I could hear screams. I came out and this is what I found. Brax had crawled through the chair and under the computer desk and then couldn't get back out. Smart kid found his way through the blockage and to those cords. The only way I can keep him out of the cords is in his jumpy toy (unless I am in the room). He doesn't go for anything else on the floor so I guess that is a good thing. I guess that's a lie. He likes my cutting tools :-)
After the bath we were ready to read stories. Then off to bed and some peace and quiet for mom and dad. The boys have actually slept through the night the last 4 nights. (8:00-7:00) I will take getting up at 7 every morning compared to the 5 or 5:30 it was before. Way to go boys!

I think my boys are cute!

Justin was vacuuming and Braxton was chasing him. He usually freaks out at the vacuum but he decided it wasn't so scary if he went after it! He followed Justin as he vacuumed the apartment.
OUCH! Just above his left eye (Right when you are looking at the picture) there is a little goose egg. I am not sure what happened. He was climbing on the chair and started crying so he must have hit his head. I just thought he was stuck. Poor kid
My little Gonzaga babies
Trying some bread.
Mom got me a hat when she went shopping. I love it! (Taylor)Braxton likes his new hat too!

Weekend with Jalayne

Taylor and Braxton
Auntie Jay with Taylor
Taylor (so chubby)
Chubby Braxton

I had to try on the outfits I got the boys! They are so darn cute! Too bad it is still so cold!

This weekend Jalayne was here! So fun! I love having visitors (*HINT*). I picked her up from the airport Friday at 1, made her go grocery shopping with me (since we were already out by Wal-mart), went to Joann's for their sale, and picked Justin up from school early! I love it when he comes home early. We had decided to go out to Red Lobster for dinner that night. The only Red Lobster is in Coeur D'Alene (25 minutes away) so we went out at about 5 and when we got there and it was a 1 hour and 15 minute wait. We decided not to wait and drove back home and ate at TGI Friday's. By the time we ate we could have waited at Red Lobster but with the babies it wasn't worth waiting. Saturday was lots of fun too! Justin had to go into school for half the day so we waited for him to get home and Jalayne and I went shopping. Justin was great and kept the babies with him! YIPPIE! I got them the cutest outfits! I love shopping for them. Of course I couldn't find anything for me. We ate a great dinner and Jalayne and I went to the movie and Justin stayed home with the boys again. We did go to the late movie so they were sleeping by the time we left. Made it easy on him. We saw "27 Dresses". Way cute if you haven't seen it yet!
Today is Sunday so of course we went to church and have just been enjoying the day. She leaves tomorrow. :-( It's a good thing we have tickets to go to SLC to see everyone is three weeks! Can't wait to see everyone! Hope you all had a fun three day weekend too!
