Playhouse Disney Live!

My boys love Playhouse Disney! Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Tigger and Pooh, Handy Manny, and Little Einstiens are their 4 favorite shows and they are coming to Spokane. I heard an add on the radio today and when I came home and talked Justin into going, we got tickets! I am so excited because my boys will be SO EXCITED! Happy Valentines Day boys! Guess we aren't going to Build-A-Bear anymore!

I get into trouble online...

...because I see too many things I want to do! I found this fun blog from a friends blog and everything is super cute! Such fun ideas. If you get on there soon you will see these reindeer canvas she did! So fun! I think I want to do the same thing with a silhouette for my boys room! What do I want to use as the silhouette?

Which bring me to my next find...

How stinkin cute would my boys be in these big boy beds with this big boy quilt?? And the airplanes? So cute! Maybe for my silhouettes? I think I could do that. I just need beds, the quilts, the sheets, canvases, and paints. Hmmm.. maybe not.

Then I see this cute wall paper. Who knew wall paper was back in style? I sure didn't but I would totally use this for an accent wall. Love it!

Oh the dreams of a poor, bored mom stuck inside all day long :-)

Great deals

If you know me well you know that I am not a bargain shopper. I don't have the patients to wait until things go on sale. Hmmm, I should work on that. But this time I did it! Well, kinda of. I have been trying to decide if I should stock up and get the boys some clothes for next winter. After talking to my friend and seeing how good of a deal she got I decided I would do it. I went to the mall and couldn't find anything in the boys size for next winter. We came out with a few new shirts and shorts for the Spring though. I went out to a different mall last night to let the boys play while Justin played his intramural game. Not thinking I would find anything (this mall never has what I want) I went into The Children's Place and found 6 sweaters and 2 coats for the boys for next year. I added up what it would have cost me if I didn't get the sale prices and it would have been 226.50 without tax! OUCH! I got everything for $79.80. YAHOO!

Love/Hate

Oh how I love this time of year. Ok I only love it for one reason...I was at the store today and there they sat, staring me in the face. I was tempted but didn't give in. I have worked too hard to lose this weight to break down now. Especially when these will be in the stores for the next three months. I will have to eventually give in but for now I held strong.

20 Months

The boys are getting so big so fast! They are always doing new things and I should be better at writing them down so here we go...

...They LOVE shoes! They get that from both Justin and I. (Justin has just as many, or more, shoes than I do!!) This morning they got their shoes and wanted to put them on. They are ready to go if we decide to go out. Too cold!!

...They love dancing, especially to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
...Jumping, they get so excited about things and go crazy!
...Puzzles
...Doing actions to Pat-a-Cake, Popcorn Popping, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Little House (I don't know if that is what it is called but it's in the song)
...Jumping in the pool from the edge at swimming lessons
...Throwing everything out of their cribs before naps
...Animals
...Making animal noises, horse, cat, dog, snake, bear, tiger
...Handy Manny
...Reading with Justin
...Stuffed animals
...Oatmeal
...Bananas
...Doing summer salts
...Hate nursery! Still can't get them to stay unless we are there. Any tips??
...Playing at the toy place in the mall or McDonald's
...Pizza
...Blankies and Binkis go everywhere!
...Brax is very short tempered. He is our little spit fire!
...Taylor is still so laid back and just a great kid. We hardly have any problems with him.
... Braxton gets put in time out A LOT and he hates it!
...Drinking out of real cups, finally!
...Love snacks!
...Movies! Cars, Shrek 1, 2, and 3, Ducktales.
...Hate pictures! Maybe it is just when I take them! Anyone want to take pictures of my kids for me?? :-)
...Going down the slide
...Sitting at their little table
...Get SO jealous when I am holding or playing with other kids
They are a blast and we love them so much! I suggest to anyone to have twins! It is hard but rewarding :-)

Swimming Lessons

We put the boys in swimming lessons at the YMCA. I figure it is great to start early because I love the pool so they need to learn it! It is also good for Taylor because he isn't too sure about open water. He loves it when he can touch the bottom but when you take him out to the deeper water he freaks out!
Taylor and momBrax and Dad doing a back float
Braxton
Jumping in. It was their favorite part of the lessons!
Braxton swimming
No they weren't mad because we got out it was because they had to sit while we dried off :-)

Working woman

This week I started a new job. I am working as a dental assistant every Tuesday and every other Friday. I dread working. I like the actual job and the people I work with are great but I miss my boys and miss everything about being a stay at home mom. I hate leaving them but know they are in good hands! Justin doesn't have class until Tuesday night and not at all on Fridays so he is playing full time dad on those days :-) If you know me I hate missing out on things, especially when it is my kids. It is only for a couple months and the extra income will be nice for those tough times.

A picture of the boys at the mall play area because you always have to have a picture with a post :-)

Another Merrill Trait

Not only do my kids get the love of motorized vehicles from my side of the family but they also have the "Merrill Cough". We all came home from Hawaii with a little cold (little right Callie??). Anyhow, Taylor's turned into a fever with this horrific cough. It was so bad that it made him throw up a couple of times. Not fun! When we took Tay to the Dr we were more concerned about his fever and found out that he wasn't breathing right! He was using his diaphragm because his lungs weren't working right. Hmm... so he was put on a nebulizer and meds and seems to be doing much better. The Dr told us that it is probably due to asthma issues and hopes he grows out of it. Anyone heard that before?? I asked the Dr if I should be concerned about Braxton catching the cold and maybe having the same issues. (When they run hard they both have coughing fits) He said to just use the meds on him if needed. Well they are needed. Poor kid is coughing away just like his big brother. Taylor doesn't love getting his meds but Brax sure does.

They are still pretty cute even when they are sick (and naughty)!!

Motorcycles

Chad and Jess gave the boys motorcycles for Christmas. They were having so much fun with them before church today. I guess a little bit of Merrill did get into my boys :-) ha ha

Wii

We have had so much fun with our Wii. We didn't think we would ever get one but now that we do we love it. I have caught Justin playing it more then I thought he ever would. We are not so good at many of the games but watch out for us bowling. Braxton and Taylor even love playing.

Christmas

Our Christmas vacation started out pretty hectic with our cancelled flight on Thursday and then not getting home until late Saturday night after a LONG drive from SLC. We were happy that flight went well :-) We had our first Christmas at my parents house. The boys got a great loot and had lots of fun! I got a Wii (we are totally loving it!!) and Justin got a Garmin that he can't wait to try out. Braxton was way into opening presents and Taylor didn't really care. He loved what was inside! On Christmas Eve we went over to Hatch's and spent Christmas with them. The boys got to open one present on Christmas Eve. (It's always PJ's) Christmas morning Julie woke us up and away we went. The boys loved all the presents and had a great Christmas. I sat back and enjoyed my boys so I didn't get many pictures.

We went back over to my parents and enjoyed some more yummie breakfast and got to talk to Elder Justin for a few minutes. We wish we could have stayed longer to talk but we had to head down to SLC before the weather turned worse. (It was pretty bad!!) In all we had a great Christmas and hope you all did too!

Home again

After a few days to get back settled in I think we are finally there. I am not excited to be back yet but maybe after the weekend I will be grateful we are home. We had a great Christmas and break in Idaho Falls, traveling to SLC three times, :-) and Hawaii. There are about a hundred posts below this with our trip to Hawaii so be prepared for MAJOR OVERLOAD!! As of now I am going to play my Wii. We have no idea how so we are gonna figure it all out. We are not video game people but I am guessing we will be soon :-) Watch out. I will post Christmas tomorrow. I wasn't all that excited to be back in the blogging world but as I sit and post my 12th post of the evening I am loving it all over again! I love being able to look back and see what we have done!

Saturday 27th

Oh Hawaii I miss you already! It was such a fabulous trip and I am sad to be back home in the cold. We had a great trip and can't wait to go back someday, without the kids! The boys were a blast to be with on the beach but it is sure hard to travel with young ones. Auntie Jay and Brax
Taylor going to the beach
Braxton too
They hated the sand at first. Braxton kept trying to wipe his feet
And Taylor just cried

So pretty!

The Hatch Family of four

Sunday at the Oaho Temple Grounds

The Temple was beautiful. We were so glad that we made it there before the grounds were closed for the remodel. We were told it would be 18 months until it opens again. Of course it was cloudy. Taylor and his Auntie Jay

Braxton is always full of energy! He loves to jump.

Pearl Harbor

December 29 we made our way down to Pearl Harbor. We went to get tickets to see the Arizona and it was a 2 hour wait. After puddering around for a while Kim and I decided we would take a car back to the hotel and take the kids swimming. After the 2 hour wait it was an hour long movie and then going out to the Arizona. My boys wouldn't sit through a movie so after a few minutes everyone in the Hatch clan (except Jalayne) went back to the condos. I would have loved to see the Arizona Memorial but my boys were not happy campers by 11:00. Next time I guess!I got the boys sun glasses for the trip. They loved them and broke them!We got a few pictures before we left for the condos.
