Backward

Today was backward day at school. I tried to talk the boys into wearing their pants backwards but they would only do their shirts! They still thought it was pretty funny.

Jazz

Justin surprised the boys with Jazz tickets for Christmas. They were even more excited to learn that we were going with Quinn and Elliott. Last Sat was the night and we left the girls home with a baby sitter and headed downtown to grab some grub and watch the game. The boys had a great time!!

And for second half entertainment there was lots of this...
 and this...
and dancing of course!

Movie Night

Tonight we had a girls movie night and boys movie night. Tay, Brax, and Jus wanted to watch Star Wars so Avri, Macall, and I watched "Rella" in my room. The girls lasted about 45 minutes and then kept bugging the boys so we turned the movie off and headed to bed. They had a fun day of playing with Taylee and Tydon who babysat for us while we went to lunch and furniture shopping.

Swimming

On Friday Em invited us to go swimming at a hotel with them. The kids were so excited to go! They asked all morning if it was time to go yet. Taylor did so much better then he used to! He is very hesitant to swim where he can't touch but this time he was more brave. Way to go T! Brax is a swimming fool! He loves it! Macall sat on the side or held on to who ever would hold her. And Miss Aves. She is fearless! She LOVED the pool! She would jump off the stairs and figured out she had to close her mouth or spit the water back out. She was giggling most the time because she was so proud of herself. She was even floating and kicking on her own. Crazy girl!

Cannon Bomb...
(I love that its what the boys call it)

 Goggles...

 Snack Time...
 Crash...

After the bath Avri found the goggles. She has been loving them all weekend.

Cookies

Justin and the kids made cookies Sunday evening. They all love to help in the kitchen!
And here we are the next morning eating cookies for breakfast!
(it says day 16 because I am doing a photo thing on my phone)

Sunday Pictures

When I got Avri dressed on Sunday the first thing she did was twirl her dress and say "I'm a princess!" Justin Aunt got the girls these dresses last year and they are a perfect fit now. Love them and so do the girls! I couldn't figure out why all the pictures have been blurry lately. I looked at my camera and finally (after days) think it is because the vibration reduction was turned off. Let's hope that is the problem because I am about ready to throw my camera out the window! I need something less difficult to use! (anyone have anything good?)
 My Princess'
I love their faces in this one! When I get out the camera they all say cheese and I can't get them to just smile.
Until I got this picture! It is great of them all!!! Love my kiddos!

Cabella's

We had planned on going to the aquarium Saturday after lunch at McDonald's. When we got there the parking lot was crazy and the lines were out the door. We kept driving and headed down to Cabella's instead. The boys were excited once we got there and the girls were just mad that we had to drive longer. They ended up loving it though.

Bunk Beds

After a few new changes to the girls room I decided the boys needed an update too! We got beds that could be either two twin beds or a bunk bed. They were too little when we got the beds to be in bunk beds so for the last few years they have been side by side. Today we made the switch. After calling the store to get a new manual, driving clear to their store to pick up extra parts that had been tossed, and an afternoon of pulling apart and putting back together the bunk beds are complete. And the boys couldn't be more excited! They think it is the coolest thing! Brax told me he could sleep on top because he has been on Elliott's bunk bed before. He didn't really have a choice. I knew Taylor would never sleep up there. There is also a lot more space for them to play which will be nice too!
 Silly faces...

 All smiles...

USU Basketball

We finally made it back to The Spectrum for Aggie Basketball. We haven't been back to the Spectum since we left Logan 6 years ago. We have been to Logan but for other things. Justin was really excited to take the boys to the game. Our first stop was lunch with Jalayne at Fredrico's. We love that place! Next we stopped at Locker 42 for some new USU shirts. We went to Preston and then back to Logan. Kent and Loralee were great and let us invade their house. The girls stayed and played while we took the boys to the game.
We wanted to get a picture in our new gear and as soon as the girls saw us posing the jumped in. They are loving pictures right now.

 My little Aggies
Taylor told Justin the other night, "Dad, I think I am going to get hungry at the basketball game. Can I get a hot dog?" So the boy got a hot dog and was happy as can be. When he was half way done he said he wanted to save the other half for Avri and Macall. Nice boy!
Brax loved the game too. He didn't want anything to eat but when I brought back my Chick-Fil-A sandwich he ate the whole thing. As he was watching and keeping score he said "they both have 4's (score was 44 to 48) so it's like they are tied but they're not!"

Grandma and Grandpa Merrill

We took the family to Logan this weekend for the Aggie Basketball game so we made our way to Preston to see Grandma and Grandpa Merrill. The kids got out all the legos and beany babies and were in heaven. It was good to see them!
Justin's family came down on the 29 to celebrate Christmas and New Years with us.
The kids loved their christmas presents and were so excited to be opening more gifts.
P.S. my camera (or me) is struggling getting good pictures these days. Sad.

 Tinkerbell dress up clothes!
Avri and Macall got their very owns chairs! They love them!
Brax was so excited for these legos! he has been telling me for months that he wanted them!

And of course the boxes are the biggest hit! they played in them all night!

New Years Eve:

Once again I didn't get any great pictures but on New Years Eve we celebrated a little early with the kids and then put them to bed and the adults seperated ways and watched movies. The men watched Sherlock Holmes and the ladies watched Love, Wedding, Marriage. At 12 we heard fireworks and that was our New Years Eve.
