Birthday came early this year

My only rule for a birthday present this year from Justin was that I wanted it to be romantic and he had to do it without my input. He could ask for help from my mom and sisters or his mom and sisters. He is not the romantic type so he wasn't so sure what to do. I am here to tell you this year he did GREAT! Last night I got the awesome birthday present from my favorite guy. He took me to see the Broadway show "Mamma Mia". It was great! I saw it in NY like 3 years ago but it was just as good as the first time. It was fun to get a night out with out the boys. To make it even better, Justin liked it! He wasn't so sure he was going to but he had a good time too. My only complaint was that we sat right in front of a loud, obnoxious lady who thought she would sing along. That always happens to us. If we are at a movie, we get the people that talk and comment through the whole thing. No matter where we go we can't get away from the loud people. That's ok though. We still had a lot of fun and we got a good laugh at her. On our way home I talked him into seeing "Phantom" when it comes in October and possibly "Spamalot" in May '09. I love Broadway shows! Thanks for the awesome birthday present babe!

Where ya been??

I think is the longest I have gone without posting. Man, what have I been doing? Besides taking care of my babies nothing much!
The pictures started out great and then Braxton flipped a switched. Taylor wasn't sure what was going on but he kept smiling for me. I was doing laundry and the boys love to help. They always take out the laundry that I have folded. At least this time it was going into the wash instead of already folded.
I put Taylor down for a nap and he was sitting there talking and playing and when he stopped I went to check on him and this is what I found.
Amy and I threw a baby shower for Leslie on Wed night. It was lots of fun. Of course the treats were great! I made eclairs and want more! Amy made these great cookies that just melt in your mouth! YUM! We are excited for Leslie's little girl to get here. Leslie, Me and Amy

Happy Easter

We only made it through sacrament meeting at church today due to sick kids (again, no throwing up though, just colds). They were so grumpy and we would have been out in the halls throughout the rest of church so we bailed and put the babies in bed. It was a great choice! They have been asleep for almost 2.5 hours! WAHOO!!! Justin and I even got a nap.
As soon as we got home the Eater Bunny had come. They boys loved their baskets and toys they got. Justin got "I am Legend" and I gave myself, I mean the Easter bunny left me "Enchanted". We are looking forward to our yummie dinner (Turkey, Dad's potatoes (funeral), jello, deviled eggs and a yummie Reese's treat) Is your mouth watering because mine is.
We hope you all have a wonderful Easter Sunday!

Coloring Easter Eggs

I am trying to organize my craft corner. The boys thought it was pretty fun to play with the boxes of scrap booking stuff. My friend Leslie is an organizing queen so she is going to help me make it less of a mess. We also decorated Easter eggs tonight. The boys had fun playing with the eggs until we had to take them away because they were cracking them. I am going to attempt deviled eggs tomorrow to go with dinner. YUM!
Justin got an internship in SLC so we are moving to SLC for the summer. We are really excited. Not only will it be great experience but he will be paid! We haven't had an income for over a year! SWEET! :-) Everyone make plans to come and see us lots! All done with the eggs! Can't wait to see what the Easter Bunny brings. HA HA
Taylor has caught onto crawling well. He follows Braxton where ever he goes. He still has a grin on his face when he does it. He is scared to climb though (as I am saying that he is trying to climb like Brax). Braxton is definitely more adventurous. He scoots to the edge of my bed and looks over. Today he fell off. He didn't cry though. My bed is pretty tall and he was already half way off (from leaning over) before he actually fell on to the floor. Guess it makes them stronger right? It has beeng reat having Justin home. He watched the boys this afternoon while I went out to lunch with some friends. Its always nice to ditch the kids once in a while. Thanks babe! You are great! Braxton scooted his way up into Taylor. Taylor got made at him though and it didn't end well.

We FINALLY got a toy box! Who would think at 9.5 months they would have enough toys to fill this box! I lvoe it though. If I had the space (and money) I would buy another one for storage for quilts! It is really cute!

3-19-08

For once I am so excited that tomorrow is the start of March Madness. Not for the reason my dear husband is though! He is excited for the games and I am excited that he is staying home from school for the games. That means I get to SLEEP IN and he gets to have the boys while watching the games. Bless March Madness :-) It will just be nice to have him home. I am also so glad that he goes to a Cathlic school. He gets Friday and Monday off of school. Friday is Good Friday and Monday is Easter Monday. I love having him around. Makes the days go so much faster. On a fun note, Taylor is CRAWLING! Way to go Tay Man! He was so cute when he figured it out. He had a smile on his face the whole time and just giggled when he moved. Braxton loves rugs. He goes into the bathroom and just sits and plays. He pulls the edges over him like a blanket.
Taylor just sits and watches
He crawled backwards and underneath the chair. Obviously that did not make him happy.
In the piles of "stuff"
Braxton is always climbing on the armour. He loves the DVD player and the flashing lights.
My little cheeser. Everytime I pull out the camera this is the face I get. I love it!

Lots and lots and lots of pictures...

The last few days has been full of being tired, sick, grumpy, needy, and an occasional smile. Braxton and Taylor have both been sick for a week now! Taylor was throwing up last week and now has the sniffles and runny nose. Yuck! At least he is throwing up anymore. He passes that to Braxton who has now thrown up the last 2 times he has eaten. AUGH!!! I am so tired of sick babies. They are so much harder when they are sick! Every morning Justin gets them out of bed before he leaves (if they are awake) and takes them to the front room and lets me sleep. This morning I couldn't get myself out of bed. I listened to the boys cry and whine until I got out of bed (10 minutes later). Hopefully this passes quick and I get my good babies back! Through all the sickness I did manage to get a few smiles out of them!

Taylor is so goofy! He still puts things in his mouth and lets them hang! Silly kid!

Braxton is a climbing machine! He climbs on anything and then when he gets done, he whines until I help him down! He can get down on his own but he likes the help.

We got this toy out that my mom gave the boys for Christmas. Taylor isn't too sure about the sounds it makes but Braxton loves it! Justin is so proud that his boys can SLAM DUNK! :-)

Taylor
Another new love for the boys are these cups that stack! They think it is so fun to watch me stack them and then knock them over.
Alright! I got them over! Here is Braxton going for the cups!Watch out!Now what? Stack them back up mom!
They always make each other laugh! It makes me laugh with them.
Braxton got stuck on my bag and couldn't get it off. He was so frustrated that mom and dad just sat and watched. He finally figured it out though.I could not get my boys to nap today! Brax has found that he can stand up in his crib. taylor hasn't figured it out yet but I put him in with Brax and let them play! They loved it!

Cutest Twins in Idaho Falls...

Well, technically they aren't in Idaho Falls but they still win! My mom called me this morning after she was done looking at the Baby's Born in 2007 section of the newspaper to tell me that my boys won the Twins section of the baby contest. How funny! I have always thought they were darn cute. They won a prize but we aren't sure what it is. My mom is going to pick it up for us! Hope it is a good one :-) So if you have access to the Post Register check it out! (I haven't even seen it cause I have to wait for my mom to send me a copy)

My sister-in-law told me about a book she was making out of her blog. I thought it was a great idea because I stopped writing in my journal after I started blogging. Opps! This is the perfect solution though! Go to Blurb.com and get started. (free advertising for them) It is kind of like the shutterfly books if you have heard of those! I am working on mine now and I already love it!

We are still dealing with sick boys. Taylor is doing much better. (only one throw up a day since we have been home) Braxton woke up yesterday morning with cold symptoms and those darn teeth still haven't come through! Hurry up teeth!

What a week

We had a great time in SLC this last week. We loved seeing everyone and being able to spend time with you all! We flew in SLC Saturday afternoon and got home this morning. Justin had a job interview and all went really well. They liked him and told him if they have enough for him to do for the summer they will hire him on. They will be getting back to him this week and then we will know if we get to be in SLC for the summer. We did so much in those short 6 days. Shopping, eating, and playing. I got some cute shirts, shoes, and make up for my birthday! Thanks mom! I can't wait to wear my RED shoes.
The only way to show you how much fun this week really was is through pictures. Taylee gave the boys each a Popsicle. They loved them! The ate it right down to the stick!Grandpa Merrill took us all to brunch at Little America! Thanks Papa! Taylor loved the food. Grandpa was Braxton's best friend after eating (he kept feeding him) He loved the food too! Emily has great pictures of the event on her blog so you have to check them out there. (I have way too many pictures on here already)Braxton is wanting to walk and loved this toy! We have to get him one. Lunch at Applebees before a fun day of shopping!Playing at the Carter's store. I did some damage in that store. But the boys "needed" it.Our last night with my family we went out to eat at Goodwood. It's BBQ place and it was way yummie. Braxton was eating the onions and got so mad when I took it from him.Emily, Mom, Taylee and MeTydon was a messy eater. Justin and TydonHeath and Kamdon! Taylor ate french fries and had them everywhere by the time we were done. Thanks again everyone for the fun time! We can't wait to come back, hopefully for the summer.Taylor at the Urgent Care in Centerville

Taylor at the Primary Childrens' ER

So on to the not so much fun part of the week! Taylor started throwing up Monday night at Emily and Heath's. It was everywhere! Sorry again guys and thanks for helping us get cleaned up. We started driving back into SLC where we were staying and he threw up again. I had to pull of the side of the highway and make sure he was ok. By the time we got back to the condo he had thrown up 5 times. We moved his crib into our room so we could listen for more through the night. He didn't wake up all night. Tuesday morning we fed him a bottle and as soon as he was done, he threw up again (#6). We cleaned up the mess and got the laundry done just in time for Justin to head to his interview and I headed out to Em's. We got him some Pedialyte and that is what he ate all day long. Wednesday we thought in were in the clear but he proved us wrong again. He threw up that morning (#7) and then went about playing with his toys and brother. We ate a yummie lunch with Justin's Grandpa and while we were there he threw up a little (#8). This wasn't bad though, more of a spit up. We decided to go meet Kim and Chris for dinner at FireHouse in Centerville. We got there and as soon as they sat us, yup, he threw up again (#9). By this time we decided he needed checked out so Kim and Chris took Braxton home with them and we headed to the nearest Urgent Care in Centerville. As we check in the poor little guy threw up 4 more time(#10-13). (ok, I am not even exaggerating on the number of pukes!!) The Dr saw him and was concerned at how much he had thrown up and that he had no other flu like symptoms. That led her to believe that Taylor may have hit his head and may have bleeding or something in his head! She sent us to Primary Children's Hospital where we sat until 2:30 am with our poor, sick little boy. After an IV, blood test and CT scan, everything came back normal. Our 6 hour trip to the ER left us with nothing more then an unusual case of the stomach flu, dehydration, and a bill. He was such a tropper! He has thrown up twice since we left the ER but for the most part is keeping food down. As soon as we got back in to Spokane today we took him to our Dr to follow up on everything and he said there has been a lot of people in with the same type of thing. Just lots of fluids and rest and hopefully our little boy will be healthy soon!

The rest of the week ended with Justin's family coming down and spending a day with us. We had a great time and hope everyone visits again soon!
