The boys woke up so happy on their birthday! I think they knew something was going on. We made #1 pancakes and fruit for breakfast. They loved it.

After the boys were dressed and ready to go we went out to Emily's for lunch. We went to Chick-Fil-A and had a great time. The boys got a kids meal with chicken nuggets and ate them all. Thanks Grandma for a yummie lunch!
At 2:00 we went to Build-A-Bear for the party. We met grandparents, aunt, uncles, cousins and friends for a great time! The boys love their bears. It was such a fun party! I am glad that you all got to come! It was fun to see you!
Grandma Merrill with Braxton and B-Boy Bear. Taylee named him for Brax.

We went and played down at the splash pad at the Gateway mall after Build-A-Bear. The boys didn't care for the water but had fun roaming around. They eventually found the stairs and had so much fun climbing them.

We went to Liberty Park for the second party. We had a picnic dinner that turned out to be not so great. Justin woke up sicker then sick at 3:00 am this morning. At about 7:30 I called Callie to see if there was something to do for such a case as his. (he had puked at least 10 times) Her response was "You are kidding. Then said to Dan (Justin's dad) Justin is throwing up TOO." Come to find out Dan, Justin, Chris, Clark, Jalayne, Julie and Grandpa Hatch have all be throwing up through the night. We came to the conclusion it was food poisoning from the sandwiches (from Sam's Club, so don't order them ). Nice way to remember the birthday party! I feel horrible that everyone is sick! Sorry guys! Next year we will be more careful, if you will all come :-)

Taylor was so tired but tried to stay happy through his party. The boys got a ton of fun presents! Thanks everyone!
The boys each got their very own cakes. We let them have them and they were very clean. They just picked at them and didn't get very messy! Guess they didn't want to get dirty!

Thanks to Grandma Merrill we had an awesome cake with FUN animals on it! As you can see the animals got a bit crazy and stomped in the icing. Thanks mom! It was perfect!

The night had to end and when we got in the car the boys Zonked! We weren't even out of the park when they were fast asleep! They had a big day and had a TON of FUN! Thanks to everyone for coming and celebrating their first birthday!

A year ago yesterday my life changed! My beautiful, healthy TWIN BOYS were born at 7:55 am. They both were healthy and big (Taylor: 5lbs 13 oz and Braxton: 6lbs 4 oz) and couldn't have brought more joy into two people lives, me and Justin that is. :-) We had waited 3 years for this! Over the past year I have learned a lot and continue to learn each day! These boys are my pride and joy! They make me laugh all the time and they know when their mommy needs to be loved. They are the sweetest, most handsome, lovable kids ever!!! We love you boys and can't wait for all the years to come! They just are going by so fast!

Not long after the boys were born so I have a great reason to not look good!
Justin is such a proud daddy. He tells me every day that we have the coolest babies EVER.

I have picture from the birthday parties but I am ready for bed so it has to wait until tomorrow!

Quirks

Over the Memorial Day Weekend Justin came to find out where a few of my weird quirks come from!
1: He has always thought I was weird for cutting of the ends of my bananas. I have never eaten the ends and for a long time I thought that you weren't supposed to. I asked my mom how she eats bananas and she said she cuts the ends off. Then I asked my sister Emily the same thing and she also cuts the ends off. Sar do you too?? Justin just laughed to find out that we all do it. :-)
2: My next quirk is that I always doodled on note pads and pull them out often at home. While we were at the cabin Emily pulled out a note pad to jot down some spellings of a few names for their little boy due in a few weeks. Justin can never find a note pad at home and when he does there is usually something doodled on there. As he saw what Emily was doing he couldn't help but laugh and bring up how I do the same thing. The funny thing about my doodling is that I usually am writting down baby names that I have heard, even though we are not having another one yet. I have to write down the different ways to spell them and see which ones he likes best.
3: This one isn't a family related one but Justin always laughs when I say it. I use the word "realistically" A LOT!!! If you ever hear me say it, sorry, I don't realize I do it until I have said it and then it is too late!
So there are just a few weird quirks of mine that make my husband laugh. At least I can laugh at myself because I know I do it and it's not going to change. Not even the simple task of eating the end of a banana!!

Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day weekend we went up to Island Park. The boys loved Papa's cabin and being out with my family. We had lots of fun! We went to the Playmill in West Yellowstone and saw "Oklahoma". It was ok. If you look at Justin's blog he would say different. The whole familyChad, Jess, and Taylor
On Sunday we went back to IF to Hatch's and sent the rest of the weekend there. The boys had their first hair cuts too. (well, techinically Brax has had his hair cut once but we didn't get any pictures)
Braxton
He wasn't too sure about it.
Taylor
Taylor was so good while he had his hair cut. He sat and let me do it the whole time. Their haid looks so much better now! :-)
