I was downstairs when I heard screaming. I go up and Kam and Tay are telling me Braxton's nose was bleeding. I looked at him and saw it was coming from his mouth. Great. I have been a dental assistant for 6 years I knew it could be bad. I took him to the sink and started cleaning him off. After a few minutes I finally got in there and saw what had happened. I called a lady in our ward whose husband is a Pediatric Dentist only to find that he works in West Valley. Too far away! I called my normal dentist and they said they would take a look. I had Kamdon and Kyler so Heath met me at the dentist office and took all the kids back to his house (thanks again). Brax was so brave and let the dentist look and do what he needed to do. The frenum is torn and the gums over his tooth are no more. The root of the tooth is exposed which has the potential of needing a baby root canal or falling out completely. That permanent one won't come in until he is around 7. That's a long time (4 years) to be missing a tooth. For now we will just wait and see what happens. The dentist didn't feel we should put a 3 year old through a gum graft (which is very painful) and to just see how it goes over the next little while. He gave us an antibiotic to help and now we will just wait and see.
From Braxton's perspective: (as he told Taylor) The guy looked at my teef and gave me a monies and I got a ball. He is happy as can be and it doesn't seem to be bothering him.
