Do we jump off couches?

NO and this is why...

I was downstairs when I heard screaming. I go up and Kam and Tay are telling me Braxton's nose was bleeding. I looked at him and saw it was coming from his mouth. Great. I have been a dental assistant for 6 years I knew it could be bad. I took him to the sink and started cleaning him off. After a few minutes I finally got in there and saw what had happened. I called a lady in our ward whose husband is a Pediatric Dentist only to find that he works in West Valley. Too far away! I called my normal dentist and they said they would take a look. I had Kamdon and Kyler so Heath met me at the dentist office and took all the kids back to his house (thanks again). Brax was so brave and let the dentist look and do what he needed to do. The frenum is torn and the gums over his tooth are no more. The root of the tooth is exposed which has the potential of needing a baby root canal or falling out completely. That permanent one won't come in until he is around 7. That's a long time (4 years) to be missing a tooth. For now we will just wait and see what happens. The dentist didn't feel we should put a 3 year old through a gum graft (which is very painful) and to just see how it goes over the next little while. He gave us an antibiotic to help and now we will just wait and see.

From Braxton's perspective: (as he told Taylor) The guy looked at my teef and gave me a monies and I got a ball. He is happy as can be and it doesn't seem to be bothering him.

First Foods

Avri and Macall have not loved rice cereal or oatmeal over the last few weeks so today I tried squash. They loved it! Maybe it is a little too soon to start all this food stuff. It is going to add to the craziness of our days but they are loving food and starting to figure out how to eat with a spoon. Avri gets so impatient waiting for the next bite! Macall of course is so mild that she just waits until it is her turn and then gobbles it down.

Shoops

Our little basketballers!
The boys are still obsessed with hoops! Usually they have to "get dressed" in their basketball shorts before they will play. They are so good too! They can make a basket most the time. Taylor dribbling before a shot

Braxton getting ready to shoot for 2.

Then there is usually a cheer for the Aggies!

Fun Food Group

This week for our food group we made these stinkin' cute candy jars. Ericka found the cute idea in Martha Stewart and our jars ended up so much cuter!!! I love my Thursday nights out! Emily, Tammy, Amy, Elizabeth, Ericka, and PamThis was only a small portion of the candy used!

The cute jars and fun gals!

Beat that Martha Stewart!

4 boys, 2 girls, one CRAZY lady

Over the past couple weeks Kamdon and Kyler have been hanging out with us while Emily is training for her new job. Although it is crazy with 6 kids it has been a lot of fun. These boys play well together and eat like mad! We have been trying to do fun things, especially outside when it is warm, to break up our days. We have preschool, snacks, play at the park, play ball, cars, games, puzzles, snacks, hoops, guns, good guy/bad guy, lunch, snacks, and then more playing too! :-) We love the days that the weather is nice. We played at the park for 4 hours one day! It was nice to get out of the house!

Reflecting

I have been writing down things I wanted to remember about the boys for the last few months. My pages are overflowing so I thought I should write them down now...

*Taylor crosses his middle finger over his pointers finger while he eats
*When we get to L, M, N, O, P, in the alphabet song Braxton sings la la la la P
*Taylor still does things left handed. Brax has switched to right hand
*Taylor is lazy when it comes to taking his shoes off so he lays on his belly and Braxton will pull them off for him
*If it is snowing it is snowman
*Braxton says "delicioso" like Dora
*They love piggy back rides but call them back packs and sing the back pack song from Dora.
*Tell me everything is "for my birthday"
*"It's perfect"
*"Yeah baby" usually while shooting hoops
*Basketball shorts are called shoops.
*Boots are still boops
*If something is broken or Taylor wants he different one he says "We buy a new one"
*Flick Flocks
*I didn't assign them a car seat but the both sit in the same one each time
*When we are driving they will say "the Temple is out my window"
*Taylor always tells me, "Sister loves my blankey"
*"You sit right here"
*Eat pizza upside down
*When the light is red they tell me to stop. When it turns green they say " Ready, Set, Go!"
*Won't let me read stories with them, just dad.
*Taylor yells "Hey guys"
*No matter how many of something they want it is always 2
*Braxton "I can't see out of my blue eyes"
*"I did it by myself"
*Always tell me "it's not Kamdon's or Kyler's"
*Emily's name is Elimee
*Over the weekend Chad and Justin were here and Chad crashed his motorcycle. The boys kept telling me "Chad Reed crashed but not Justin"
*Still love cycles
*Taylor always ask Braxton or Justin "wanna fight?" or "wanna wrestle?"
*Drink the milk from their cereal bowl
*They have started taunting each other with ha ha and the other will say "No say ha ha" so then the first does it again and that's when they tell "Mom, he said ha ha again!"
*Braxton always wants to get dresses meaning he wants to put his shoops on
*If they talk about Elliott it is always Elliott and Quinners
*Every sort of large cat is a Puma
*I will call them baby and they always correct me, Not a baby mom. I bigger
*I hear "I hungy again" ALL DAY LONG!

Like I said I have been writing things down for months. We love these two little guys and they always keep us laughing.

PICTURES

A couple weeks ago I wanted to try to get some pictures of the girls. I am not very good at taking pictures inside but it was bight and sunny and warm so I stripped them down and got a few cute ones.
Macall:
Taylor wanted in on the action too! He wanted to be naked like the girls and he sat and smiled for me the whole time!
Taylor:

Aves has a harder time holding her large head up but I still got a few cutes ones.
Aves:
And Braxton slept the entire time.

Tonight as I was singing "I Hope They Call Me on a Mission" to the boys Braxton pipped in, "Uncle Clark is on a mission. He talks about his testimony of Jesus."
They really do listen!

Big Butt Mom

Hmmm.... so tonight we had a meeting with a water guy. He wasn't a small man and when he came in the door the first thing Braxton said, pretty quiet (I hope) was "big butt mom" and my reply was "Yes, he does have a big box." Hope I pulled that one off!! How awful!
P.S. I don't go around saying anyone has a big butt if you'll were wondering! He came up with that one alone!!!!

Painted Pigs

The other day I attempted to paint Avri's toes. As you can see it got all over my pants and looked horrible. I tried to take it off and that made her mad so she has half red toes. Maybe I will try while she is napping so they don't look so bad.

This weekend Ave's has been one misserable child. We think she is teething. I am so not ready for this!

Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point

A couple days ago we went down to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point with Ashley and Emily. Braxton thought the dinosaurs were cool and Taylor was scared of them. I kept trying to explain they were bones and couldn't hurt him. Finally I told him they were dead and he seemed to be fine with that. Both the boys loved seeing the sharks and turtles.

Wii

The boys have loved the Wii lately. We go in phases of playing lots and then not playing for a long time. Taylor loved the sword fighting because he kicked all our butts. They kept jabbering something and showing me this...
Apparently they wanted Justin to play the hunting game and this was hunting. It took us forever to figure out what they were doing!

Solids

These girls really are so big! At their Dr appointment the Dr suggested starting them on rice cereal to see if that helps them start sleeping through the night! We are going on day four and it still hasn't worked. Macall did make it from 10 until 4 last night but Avri is ravenous all the time and still only made it until 2. Avri likes the idea of food and Macall still isn't too sure.

I think the pictures speak for themselves!
