Happy 5th Birthday Boys!

I can't believe these two are so big! They are the best 5 year olds I know. They are both kind, sweet, loving, funny, silly, competitive, and caring. They love their sisters and make sure they are taken care of, mostly. They both have a love for sports that is fueled by Dad's love and encouragement. Not only do they love sports but they are good at everything they play. They are so talented. They are great readers, writers, singers, and they can boogie with the best of them. They are great bike riders, scooter scooters, runners, skippers, and have way too much energy. They make me one proud mama! We love these two and are so glad they are ours forever!!!

May 29th Zoo night

Once again we headed to the zoo for a members night. The kids love it there so it is a fun family outing, even when we go all the time :-) The boys always want stuffed snakes so since the next day was their birthday they got to bring one home. I don't think we will ever get tired of the zoo.

Pools are open!

We had a very laid back Memorial Day. We decided to go to the $1 movie but when we got there it was sold out. We didn't want to wait for the next movie so we headed to the pool with the Holverson's. After a fun time there we had a BBQ and roasted smores. It was a nice, laid back day!

Mentos Explosion

We love it when we get unexpected packages in the mail, especially ones from Aunt Evelyn. They usually have fun souvenirs from her travels. This package was totally a fun one! There were TONS of packages of mint Mentos. Justin decided to have a little fun with them and sent me out to buy Diet Coke. They boys thought it was so cool! Thanks for the fun package Evelyn. Can't wait to see you this summer!

Preschool Graduation

We are so proud of these two! They are such great kids! They graduated from preschool and are so excited about Kindergarten. They are hard workers and love school. They have done great with reading, writing, and so much more. I can't wait to watch them excel in the years to come.
On May 17 we went to the fist of many member zoo nights. We love to go later because it is not as hot and not very many people are there. We love our zoo membership!

My sweet little girls are staying at Grandma Hatch's for the next week. They have been gone since Saturday and it is so quiet here. Julie made a video of them and it made me miss them even more. I don't think they are missing us yet. They are having too much fun! Thanks Julie. Cutest video!!

It's real

Kindergarten is just around the corner. We got the boys track schedule for the year. Crazy! They start August 28th and are on Track D in the morning. We tried for afternoon but morning will be ok. We will just have to get out of bed. They are ready for school and will love it. I am ready for them to be in school but not ready for them to be so grown up.
(We took them to The Avengers this weekend and they loved it! We all did.)

Mothers' Day Drawings

I have decided I need to be better about saving the sweet little drawings my boys make for me. It's hard to keep the original so this is second best! I love that they are drawing people and objects now. I love them and am so glad to be their mom!

Slip Sliding Away

Today we went to Target in hopes of finding a swimming pool. We didn't find one that we wanted so we came home and decided to get out last years toys. The crazy sprinkler and the slip n slide. The boys had so much fun in the sun! Pretty soon two of our neighbor girls came out to play too. The boys weren't too sure about playing with girls but they had fun, until Helen kept trying to kiss Brax. Taylor was fast enough not to get caught.

Drawing

Tonight the boys didn't want to get in bed so they suckered me into letting them draw just one picture. Taylor was so excited about his...
And Brax told me he drew our family because we are just so happy...
Brax is so funny when he draws and colors. He has started actually drawing people and things, not just doodles. Taylor is just a step behind drawing doodles but I love them all! Brax colors inside the lines in his coloring books and it drives him crazy if someone colors on it outside the lines. Taylor just colors away with as many colors and as fast as he can. Love their different little personalities.

Zoo Pics

Yesterday was a bad morning. Justin couldn't get out of bed because of a massive headache, I was grumpy and miserable, and the kids were just not happy. Too much crying. I decided we needed to get out of the house so we went to the zoo. The zoo and a DP was all I needed to get me out of a nasty funk. The kids love all the animals and can't wait for the new exhibits to open.

My little girls seem to be getting really big lately. Avri is potty trained, Macall is starting soon, and they both think they are big enough to keep up with the boys. Avri loves to ride bikes and recently she has figured out how to ride the boys bikes. Macall follows the boys around, which drives them crazy, but she is always right behind them trying to fit in.
Macall pushing Avri but she really didn't need help.
 Get this off!
Here she is riding by herself
Macall was loving the Tball set. She is still figuring it out but loved hitting the ball, putting it back on the tee, and hitting again. Like I said, they are just getting to big too fast.
