Family Fun

The new aquarium opened today for members only so we ended up going over. All the animals weren't there so it was a little disappointing but the kids liked seeing the otters and penguins.
Justin had to go into work today so I took the kids to the park after we played outside for a while. We rode our bikes and played and they decided it was time for a snack so we came home. We are now watching "Frozen" for the second time in 12 hours.

Random

We are so excited! We booked our trip to Disneyland!! We can't wait!
These pretty girls love to ride bikes and play outside. So glad that its getting warmer.
I attempted to french braid the girls hair the other day. Turned out pretty cute.

These 4 naughties decided to color all over Megan's wall with pen. We took them back over to scrub the wall. Macall was like "this is so fun!" Not supposed to be fun baby girl!
The kids insisted on wearing their goggles in the bath the other night. Sillies!

Star Student

Taylor was the star student at school last week and he was so excited. I printed the pictures and cut the papers but he made the poster and was super excited. Love this 1st grader!

March 14-16 St. George

Justin had a law conference down in St. George so we decided to tag along. Ryan and Leslie invited us to stay with them at his parents house so thats what we did. It was beautiful and right on the gold course. They had a putting green and thats here the boys spent most of their time. We did a little shopping and the kids were so funny. The insisted on picking out each of their shirts which made it easier for me and I know they will wear them. We did lots of swimming at the club house and then on Saturday we stayed at the house and the kids played in the cold pool and loved jumping into the hot tub after the cold pool. We also had to try Swig. The cookies were so good. The Dirty Dr Pepper was ok but tasted just like the ones I know how to make. We had a great time!!

San Francisco

March 9, 2014

We didn't end up getting out of bed until 10 o'clock this day because we were all exhausted from biking the day before. We got ready and walked up to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Warf. We walked around for a few minutes, had some yumie donuts, and decided to do a nicer lunch at Boudin Sour Dough. It was so good! I had clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. Yum! We shopped around a bit and decided we wanted to go find the "painted ladies".

Off we went and found a bus line that took us closer to where we needed to be. We got on the bus and the driver was great and loved that we were from Utah. He asked us all about "High School Music" the movie. So funny. We ended up walking up hill a bit longer after the bus ride but found some really neat little shops. Then we finally made it to see the pretty houses. The park looks huge in pictures and movies but it was really small and not much grass. When we were done we got back on the bus and that took us down to Union Square for some real shopping. We went to "Tout Sweet" (the guy that won a baking show on Food Network) had delicious macaroons, we went to the big Nordstrom, and finally Old Navy were we ended up being forever. Better, affordable shopping. By the time we were done everything was closing and we needed dinner. We had decided to just go back to the hotel and ended up finding a little place across that street. We had Chicken Shwarmes and they were pretty good.

Our flight was set for 7 am the next day so we cleaned up our stuff and ended up in our rooms for the rest of the night. We didn't sleep well and needed to be up at 4:15 to catch the Bart and Shuttle back to the airport. About 5 we got a notice that our flight would be delayed but we were already on the Bart going to the airport. We ended up sitting in the airport for over 6 hours. We finally got home at 1 and stopped at In 'N Out to have lunch. It was such a fun trip! Loved every minute!

San Francisco

March 8, 2014
We started the day out by stopping by the Farmer's Market and grabbed breakfast and a drink. We walked around a saw the pretty flowers and the Bay Bridge.

At 9:00am we rented our bikes and headed off for a day of adventure.
We saw Pier 39, Ghirardeli Chocolate, the beach, the sea lions, and made our way to the Golden Gate Bridge. We biked over that thing with all the hardcore bikers and man was it hard. In all I think we road about 20 miles that day.

We rode into Sasalitos and had the most delicious hamburger from the Hamburger Joint. Maybe it tasted so good since we just worked our butts off riding across the bridge.
We decided to take a ferry back and as we did we went right past Alcatraz. It was so cool to see up close. Next time we go to San Fran I definitely want to stop there.
The ferry dropped us off where we originally started our bike ride so we had to go a few miles back up to Ghirardeli to get our ice cream. YUM!!!

After our snack we decided we should find Lombard street and it was actually right where we were. After riding bikes for so long we walked up a HUGE hill and finally made it to the top of the street. It is pretty cool but I wish you could see it from an ariel view like in the movies.

We stuffed in as much as we could this day but it was time to return the bikes. We went back to the hotel and got ready for dinner and hit up China Town. We had seen this place on Pinterest and heard it was good so we decided to try it out. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! After we did a little China Town shopping and found that everything closes early. Like 8 o'clock. Weird.

It was such a fun day exploring this city and loved everything about it (with the exception of the naked bikers we came across) :-)
