Hide and Seek

The girls love to hid and play under my counter in the bathroom. Whenever I am getting ready they pull out the laundry baskets and laugh and play.

Living Planet Aquarium

We got passes to the Living Planet Aquarium and decided to go today, along with everyone else in South Jordan. It was busy! The boys LOVE animals and love this place!The sharks!Taylor was so excited that the penguins were swimming. When Justin took the boys last weekend they were not swimming and that did not make him very happy. The girls weren't way interested in the animals but did great tagging along.

After the aquarium we took the kids to McDonald's for ice cream and to play a little. When we got in the car the boys were talking and Taylor said "What a fun day!" We had a great day!

Jazz vs. Spurs

My mom came down for the Jazz game on Wednesday night and decided to take us all! We had a great time and the boys are still talking about "their" guys. Home Made Suckers

Last week Emily and I made home made suckers. They were so easy and just as yummie as I remember them! The kids loved them!

Hogle Zoo in January

Justin took Monday off work so we decided to take the kids to either the Aquarium or Hogle Zoo. It was a pretty nice day so we decided to go to the zoo. We have heard the animals are more fun to see in the winter and it was true. They were all out and about, even the rhinos which I have never seen do more then lay in the mud. I was a lot of fun and the kids loved it.The boys got maps and were so excited to guide us through the zoo. My Joy

Some times I forget to enjoy what I have and the things that are great in my life. I tend to think about what I don't have, how things could be better, or compare my life to others. Today I am grateful I have them...Life is good!!

More changed to the house

After a year of living here I am in need of change. We haven't done much since we moved in.

I want this in my dining room. I have convinced Justin it will be good. We are thinking of painting the brown wall cream so there aren't so many colors in the one room. Cream, Brown, and the wall paper. We will see.

I sold one of my side tables on KSL because we never really liked where it was at. Taking up too much room. I found this on KSL and decided to paint it some shade of BLUE to go this...

My pretty (love the colors) rug that came UPS today!! I hate spending money on rugs but I love it!

This was the boys room before:And this is after: Grandpa and Grandma Merrill gave the boys much needed bedding for Christmas! So cute! The boys love the football theme! The walls were a pain to repaint but we got it done and we all love it!

Making Cookies with Daddy

Justin always feels the need to have a Sunday treat. He is good at baking and likes to do it (that's usually the only way he is going to get it).

The boys love to help.I told Taylor to smile without saying cheese and this is what I got. We are practicing our good smiles because I am taking them to get pictures next week. Good luck!

Shoes!!!

Avri LOVES shoes. If there are shoes laying out she will find them and either carry them on her hands or put them on and walk around. She loves my closet and always comes out with a pair. Today she put on one of her shoes by herself!

Girls at 14 months

These two little bugs are getting busier by the day! We love them so much! Here are a few new things to add to our day to day craziness.

*they climb up and down the stairs

*love to dance

*saying a few words: more, thank you, momma, dadda, uh-oh

*they can both sign more, all done, and drink (milk)

*Call says yes as she nods

*love to eat anything they can get their hands on!

*go to bed at 7 and don't get up until 7:30 or 8!

*Macall walks with her hands behind her back

*Avri pats our backs when she is being held

*Call stomps when she is mad

*Avri throws herself down in the biggest tantrums

*get into the garbage

*both pick out the marsh mellows in Lucky Charms and leave the rest

*like me to do their hair

*Avri LOVES shoes. She put one on herself today!

*Macall has 9 teeth and Avri has 3

The boys dumped Lucky Charms on the floor for the girls so they wouldn't get hungry. Where did they get that from?? Hmmm, guess I should stop dumping food on the floor!

Bath Time

I put the girls down for a nap and could hear the boys playing in the bathroom. Never a good thing. I went in and they were having a great time with the toys that had been left in there from the night before. As soon as they saw me they said "It's ok that we are playing in the bath with our clothes. The water is not on!!" Good thing!

New Years Eve

My visiting teacher offered to watch my kids so Justin and I went out to lunch and did some shopping. She has four kids of her own but she really wanted to take them for us! Great lady!! We, well Justin, decided we were going to Joe's Crab Shack. Justin got the crab and I had fish and chips. I don't really like sea food but tried it anyways and loved it! This place was great! The waitress tied a bib on Justin just before his lunch came out! The night was low key and great! We made mexicn food and a couple from our ward came over with one of their boys. Her other boys spent the night at their grandparents. We put the kids in bed and had fun getting to know them and eating the yummie mexican food.
