Happy Halloween

The kids were ready to go Trick or Treating as soon as we were done with dinner. We left before many kids were out but it was the perfect time. About 10 minutes later there were tons of kids on the streets. Justin and I took them all down the street and then Justin took the boys around to a couple different streets and the girls and I hit the other side of the street and back home to pass out candy. They all loved it! Macall and Avri got the hang of it pretty quick! knock and get candy! Easy enough! Taylor was a little hesitant because one of the first houses we went to had a dog. After we split Justin said the boys had a blast! They ran from door to door, skipping the dark houses "because they aren't home!" and had a great time! They kept telling Justin is was so much fun!  

Daddy's Office

After lunch we went downtown to Trick or Treat at Justin's office. Everyone always gets huge bags of candy and there are maybe 10 kids that go in. They were giving handfuls of candy to the kids or letting them take as many as they wanted. We came home with a good haul.

Yesterday the boys got to dress up in their Halloween costumes for preschool. Taylor has been asking for a month if it was the day he could wear it. I was trying to get a quick picture and Avri just had to be in the picture. Then Macall couldn't be left out either! Funny kids!

 Tonight was our ward Halloween party. They do a chili contest and games. The boys were having a good time until it was their turn for the sack races and Taylor freaked out. No adventurous bone in his skeleton! We decided it was just time to come home and go to bed :-)

Carving Mr Pumpkin

This year we got one big pumpkin for carving. The boys thought it was cool for about 10 minutes and then decided the football game was more interesting.  They liked the guts but didn't like to pull them out. They used spoons and got out a few of the seeds.

Hogle Zoo in October

We love to go to the zoo during the Fall. The animals are much more active which the kids enjoy a whole lot more. We went on the train ride and even walked the zoo in a different order then usual, just to mix it up. We made the mistake of telling the kids we could go in the shop after and see how much an animal was. The smallest was 11.00 so we told them we would have to do it a different time. Broke Taylor's little heart. He keeps asking me if he can get the Tiger for Christmas. Avri insists on walking but gets mad when Taylor or Brax sit in her spot in the stroller. Macall is just as happy sitting and watching everything go by, as long as she has a snack. 

We are still obsessed with football around here. if we aren't playing the Wii we are playing football. Justin has taught the boys rules and how to tackle the right way. They are good.

I watched my friends kids today and they had a blast. Conner and the girls play so well. I have already told Megan that one of my girls has dibs on dating him! He is such a cute kid! At church when the girls are out of control I can usually distract them by asking where Conner is or showing them Conner. Funny girls! We got out the bounce house for the older boys but they decided to stay inside and watch Meet the Robinsons so I brought the three babes out. They loved it!

Pretty Pie

On Tuesday night I had a few ladies over and we made pies. We made decorative crusts and they all turned out so fun! I tried to make mine like a picture I have seen but it's not even close. Still super cute though!
