Camping

Friday we ventured out to find a camping spot up in Farmington Canyon. Thanks to Kim and Chris we got a great spot. As we drove up and up the windy, steep road Braxton started freaking out!! He kept saying we were going to fall or that rocks were going to hit us. It was very steep and I felt that way a few times too! We got to the campground and got our tent all set up and the boys were ready to eat. Hot dogs always taste better while you are camping. Soon enough they found sticks and were chasing each other all over the place. We had a great time!!

Running around with sticks. Probably not the safest but they had a great time.

The boys thought it was so funny to take off their shirts (something they just learned how to do) and run around. They were so dirty by the time we went to bed.

We had a great time but not much sleep. It rained and thundered most of the night which scared Brax a few times. Taylor on the other hand slept like a rock, I had to go to the bathroom too many times, and Justin fell off the air mattress a few too many times. :-) This morning we ended up taking our tents down early and in the rain but we got home safe and sound and had a blast!

Looking back...

Lately I have been thinking about how big the boys have gotten. They have grown up so fast and I feel like I have missed it. Here are some pictures from the past two years and some updated things I want to remember about my little guys!

*They can always make each other laugh (or cry)

*They talk non stop to each other

*They love their blankies

*They love shoes, mostly their "boops"

*They love cycles. Anything that has to do with motorcycles is a favorite right now

*They can spot an airplane anywhere in the sky

*They love fruit, milk, fruit snacks, cookies, m&m's, juice, cheese, Cheetos, chips,

*Repeat things from shows (watch what you say around these two)

*Starting to talk in sentences and I can actually understand it

*Say please and thank you most of the time. They picked that one up on their own too.

*Sleep 10-12 hours at night.

*Talk to the babies and pat and kiss them

*Ask every morning to go to Kam's or Papa's

*Eat at least two bowls of cereal each morning. Braxton prefers "Faffles" if we have them

*Are such good swimmers and love to be in the water

*Hate having diapers changed. I keep trying to talk them into using the potty but they still aren't interested.

*Favorite movies: Wall-E, Incredibles, Taylor still loves Shrek, "Puppies" (101 Dalmations), Ducks (Duck Tales), Nemo

*They love the Wii

*Love Mickey Mouse, Little Einsteins, Tom and Jerry, Dora and Diego

I could keep going forever about these two. They are great little boys and are going to be great big brothers!!

Girly projects

I have loved these car seat covers so I decided to try my hand at them. It turned out stinkin cute and I am excited to get the next one done. It is the same fabric but I am using the red dots as the front and the black around the edges. I love the red and black together! Super cute!Em called today and her and Heather were making bows so we headed over after the boys napped. Heather made me the cute blue and green ones, thanks again, I made the pink and white ones, and then we all made the zebra ones. Now I am really excited to get the bow holder made that I blogged about a while back because I have cute bows to fill it!
Today I decided to try and introduce the potty to the boys again. It has been a while since we have tried and today they were willing, kind of. They thought it was so fun being naked and taking turns sitting on the potty but there was no going. I tried bribing them with their favorite treat and that didn't work either.I asked them if they wanted diapers back on and they told me no so I grabbed some underwear and put them on and let them play. I asked them over and over again if they needed to go potty and every time they told me no.

We sat down and watched Elmo's Potty Movie and they soon were bored with the potty thing. They started running around and playing and then Brax noticed something a little wet. He peed in his underwear and he was done.

A good first try!

Catch up

After 1611.4 miles, 4 states, 12 days, lots of driving, food, camp fires, swimming, and eating out we are back to real life! We had a great vacation but it is always nice to get home. The boys and I went with Justin's family to his family reunion in Glendale and Justin stayed behind to take the Bar. Now that is behind him, he has started working full time and is so happy to be done with school!! After 4 days with his family I drove to St. George and met up with my mom and the Holverson gang for a few more days of fun in the sun. We swam, ate, shopped and had a great time! I drove home on Justin's final day of the Bar and we headed up to Idaho Falls and then went up to Island Park until Sunday and enjoyed a great break from real life. Now we are back and I am still not getting anything done.
