Family Home Evening

Tonight we took the boys over to the temple for FHE. They loved every minute of it. The kept showing us "Noni" (Moroni for those that don't know) and told us that is where Jesus lives. We love having the temple so close and having such a great teaching/learning tool so close. The boys know that "Noni" is on the temple and the other buildings are churches. Such smart little boys! So fun to see them learn and grow.

Attempt #1

Is it considered failure when you try to potty train for 5 hours and the kids just isn't understanding? After 12 pairs of underwear, 3 loads of laundry (had to wash the underwear because I don't have enough and blankets trying to avoid the carpet), and lots of carpet cleaning we gave up on Taylor potty training today. He just wasn't understanding. He would say he had to pee and then get on the potty and then sit there and nothing. 2 minutes later he would pee on the floor. He did make it to the potty once and then when we went into the kitchen to get a treat he peed all over the floor. We will just try again when he is a little
older and more interested in it all.
Good try little buddy!

Powder Mountain Races

We had a great time watching Chad and Justin race yesterday. The boys loved all the action! The parking and people were absolutly crazy and there were so many of them!! The race was put on by Jeremy Mcgrath, a Pro motocross racer. It was fun watching him take the course...(I thought this was pretty cool picture with Tydon and Mcgrath)
My favortie part of the races is the starting. To hear all the motorcycles start at the same time and then go! AWESOME! :-)
Chad and Justin are in this mess of riders somewhere.
My nephew Kamdon loves cycles and he is passing that love on to my boys. Whenever they saw the racers they would yell "Go Chad Reed" (another pro racer that wasn't there). However Kam thinks that Chad Merrill and Chad Reed are the same! :-)
Chad racing... Justin racing...
The boys having some fun. It was hot and there was lots of walking but the boys were troopers! Eating lunch...
Sorry for the mess in your truck Jus.

Camping

Friday we ventured out to find a camping spot up in Farmington Canyon. Thanks to Kim and Chris we got a great spot. As we drove up and up the windy, steep road Braxton started freaking out!! He kept saying we were going to fall or that rocks were going to hit us. It was very steep and I felt that way a few times too! We got to the campground and got our tent all set up and the boys were ready to eat. Hot dogs always taste better while you are camping. Soon enough they found sticks and were chasing each other all over the place. We had a great time!!

Running around with sticks. Probably not the safest but they had a great time.

The boys thought it was so funny to take off their shirts (something they just learned how to do) and run around. They were so dirty by the time we went to bed.

We had a great time but not much sleep. It rained and thundered most of the night which scared Brax a few times. Taylor on the other hand slept like a rock, I had to go to the bathroom too many times, and Justin fell off the air mattress a few too many times. :-) This morning we ended up taking our tents down early and in the rain but we got home safe and sound and had a blast!

Looking back...

Lately I have been thinking about how big the boys have gotten. They have grown up so fast and I feel like I have missed it. Here are some pictures from the past two years and some updated things I want to remember about my little guys!

*They can always make each other laugh (or cry)

*They talk non stop to each other

*They love their blankies

*They love shoes, mostly their "boops"

*They love cycles. Anything that has to do with motorcycles is a favorite right now

*They can spot an airplane anywhere in the sky

*They love fruit, milk, fruit snacks, cookies, m&m's, juice, cheese, Cheetos, chips,

*Repeat things from shows (watch what you say around these two)

*Starting to talk in sentences and I can actually understand it

*Say please and thank you most of the time. They picked that one up on their own too.

*Sleep 10-12 hours at night.

*Talk to the babies and pat and kiss them

*Ask every morning to go to Kam's or Papa's

*Eat at least two bowls of cereal each morning. Braxton prefers "Faffles" if we have them

*Are such good swimmers and love to be in the water

*Hate having diapers changed. I keep trying to talk them into using the potty but they still aren't interested.

*Favorite movies: Wall-E, Incredibles, Taylor still loves Shrek, "Puppies" (101 Dalmations), Ducks (Duck Tales), Nemo

*They love the Wii

*Love Mickey Mouse, Little Einsteins, Tom and Jerry, Dora and Diego

I could keep going forever about these two. They are great little boys and are going to be great big brothers!!
